Jeanne Rynhart was born in Dublin City, studied at the George Collie R.H.A. and the National College of Art, Dublin. After further studies at Coventry College of Art she exhibited at various Galleries in the U.K., Society of Wildlife Artists, Society of Portrait Sculptors and other prestigious academics. Returning to Ireland she developed The Rynhart Collection while continuing to develop her own exhibitions. Her works have sold through the Royal Hibernian Academy and through various other venues.

The rynhart collection
Jeanne is the creative force behind the Rynhart Collection, a series of 200 studies in limited editions of all facets of life, character, sporting and wildlife pieces. These editions are reproduced in coldcast bronze and marked in outlets both at home and abroad.

Public Sculpture
While she is best known for the Molly Malone Monument in Grafton Street, Dublin, erected to commemorate the City's Millennium in 1988, Jeanne also modeled the Cobh Heritage commemoration sculpture of Annie Moore, the first emigrant to pass through Ellis Island. This was complemented by a similar commission for the U.S. of Annie Moore on Ellis Island, the only life sized Sculpture on Ellis Island. Both of these sculptures were unveiled by the then President Mary Robinson.

Portraiture
While living in the U.K. Jeanne was invited to become a member of the Prestigious Society of Portrait Sculptors an associate of the Federation of British Artists. Her undoubted flair for portraiture has earned her many commissions worldwide. Her James Joyce bust graces the New York City Public Library, Oscar Wilde and Dean Swift the Dublin Writers Museum. Many other portraits both public and private grace the halls of public building and many private residences.

Private commissions
Jeanne has completed commissions covering a broad spectrum of subjects for business and private individuals. Very often people have a vague idea for a piece of sculpture, but cannot describe it. Here at the Rynhart Studios we can assist with sketches and offer proposals/quotation.
